ABOUT
Welcome to your Montana School Occupational
and Physical Therapy Website Federal regulations under IDEA describe occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) as “related services” which may be required to assist a “child with disabilities” to benefit from “special education” (34 CFR § 300.34). In order to integrate physical therapy and occupational therapy services effectively within the school setting, the therapist must understand the basic principles of special education and the particular practices of therapy in a school program.
